What if NEW BUILDING be whiteout usual architectural outline and borders?
[Suspended Plaza] is based on the concept of creating a live and dynamic cultural landscape, by development of direct connection between the [NPAK] and [NPAK plus] and the city.
Design is searching for building without usual architectural outline and borders to achieve a new generation of cultural landscape in city.
The proposal consists of a complex of buildings – a city within the city – which radiate its cultural meaning, integration in the city, openness, transparency of functionality and flexibility. That cause it will become an urban theatrical scene, which will arouse diverse cultural action and a unique urban performance for citizens.
The main structure consists of vertical and diagonal cables that supported by a steel framework. This structural concept creates the structure as a sculpture shape.
This vertical cultural landscape can be a new landmark for Yerevan city.
Interiors of exiting building of NPK changed to the suspended spaces for being, acting, meeting, dialogue, performance and any events.
